David Phillips, pedal steel David Phillips has been called "the reigning king of pedal steel in the Bay Area," and has recorded or performed with too many artists to list here. They include Tom Waits, Charlie Hunter, Ramblin' Jack Elliot, Johny Paycheck, John Wesley Harding, and Nora Jones. A Georgia native, David plays in country, jazz, Caribbean, folk, rock, & bluegrass ensembles in the Bay Area. "I take steel guitar where some say it has no business going," says David. "So what." |

Paul Olguin, bass Born in Santa Monica, Paul Olguin was playing trumpet at 10, tuba at 13 and bass by 15. Club gigs as a teenager in East LA dance bands led to tours with Mary Wells ("My Guy," "Two Lovers," "Beat Me To The Punch"), Brenton Wood ("Oogum Boogum Song," "Gimme Some Kinda Sign"), and The Drifters ("On Broadway," "Save The Last dance For Me," "Under The Boardwalk"), among other early rock, rhythm and blues acts. Paul also played in numerous LA recording sessions, including Mazzy Star albums She Hangs Brightly and So Tonight That I May See. Since moving to the Bay Area, Paul has recorded or performed with many Bay Area artists including Chuck Prophet, Jesse DeNatale, and Shana Morrison, and has played local shows with a long list of perfomers, among them, Bob Weir, Ramblin' Jack Elliot, and Huey Lewis. |

Peter Tucker, drums Rolling Stone Magazine has called Peter "one of the most creative percussionists to emerge in rock music." A Massachusetts native, Peter's first pro gig was with the The Monks featuring Brad Delp (who would go on to become lead singer for the rock group Boston). Later, in NYC, Peter recorded with Tim Hardin, did two records for Atlantic with the ground-breaking rock band Guns and Butter and worked with Richie Havens, among others. Since coming out west, Peter has played folk, jazz, country, blues and rock in many bands including Pacific Gas and Electric, The Beau Brummels and the Bay Area bluegrass super-group, The Waybacks. Most recently, Peter can be heard drumming with The Cowlicks and Houston Jones. As a session drummer, Peter has recorded with Warren Zevon, Skunk Baxter and authors Amy Tan, Steven King, and Norman Mailer. |

Mary Pitchford, fiddle A native of England, Mary attended the Royal Academy of Music in London, one of the leading music institutions in the world. Now living in Marin County, Mary plays classical, country, folk, jazz, and rock. She has also worked with Bay Area theater groups and currently plays with the boundary-crossing folk/pop group The Crafty Foxes. |
